What kind of people become involved with COFIS?

We are ordinary people who want to see peace in the Middle East. We want to inform people about the great benefits in technology and medicine that Israel brings to the world, and about the work that Israel does to protect human rights and preserve peace in an unstable region where Israel is the only democracy. We want to challenge the lies that are spread by hateful individuals and hate groups who claim to care about ‘the Palestinians’ but really just want to attack Israel. We want to ensure that Jews feel safe in Scotland and we want to raise public awareness that hatred directed at Israel always ends with attacks against Jewish people.

Stand With Us

StandWithUs UK is an Israel educational charity.

Our staff and volunteers are inspired by our love for Israel and the belief that education is the road to peace. StandWithUs UK is dedicated to educating people of all ages about Israel and to combating the Antisemitism and extremism that often distorts the issues.

We believe that knowledge of the facts will correct common prejudices about the Arab-Israeli conflict and will promote discussions and policies that can help promote peace in the region.

Through cutting edge print materials, speakers, programmes, conferences, missions to Israel, campaigns, social media and other internet resources including educational films, we ensure that the story of Israel’s achievements and ongoing challenges is told on University campuses and in communities across the UK.

StandWithUs UK is active on three levels in the UK; Student, Community and Social Media. Through our student University and Sixth form programmes we train and equip the next generation of student leaders with the tools and knowledge to be effective Israel educators. In the community we run educational programmes and provide printed resources and materials, aiding the education of Israel to the wider public.

We are active on all major social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, regularly reaching millions in peak months with educational Israel content.

StandWithUs UK is one of eighteen international StandWithUs chapters across the U.S., Canada, Australia, the UK and Israel.

We Believe in Israel

We Believe in Israel seeks to:

Provide a united front that brings together all the existing supporters of Israel in the UK, across the political spectrum.

Facilitate and support a grassroots network of supporters of Israel in the UK.

Help create a fair and balanced political environment for Israel in the UK.

Provide opportunities for people in the UK to engage in constructive dialogue and conversation about Israel.

Provide opportunities for Jewish and non-Jewish supporters of Israel to express their support for Israel.

Broaden active support for Israel beyond existing advocates to include a wide range of Jewish and non-Jewish voices.

Provide an atmosphere of solidarity and mutual support that helps supporters of Israel become active and feel safe and confident in expressing their support for Israel.

Ensure support for Israel is heard in debates whether online, in the traditional media or at public events.

The Israel-Britain Alliance (IBA) is a UK based organisation that celebrates Britain’s relationship with the State of Israel.

The IBA is dedicated to bringing clarity to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, other pressing issues in the Middle East, and globally.

We will engage a UK-wide constituency of supporters and build partnerships with organisations across both the religious and secular spectra.

We will connect with Britain’s innovative, diverse and vibrant diasporas, work with all sectors of government and across political parties, the trade union movement, public interest groups and educational establishments to achieve our objectives.
